Are you considering changing your major?

If you are thinking about changing your major, it’s good to be familiar with the criteria to be eligible and any differences there may be in specific majors. For more information about requesting a change of major and to submit an online application, visit the Registrar’s Change of Major website.

Are you interested in joining the Campuswide Honors Collegium?

UCI’s Campuswide Honors Collegium offers a community of motivated learners with resources to support scholarship excellence and personal growth. It provides an enriched curriculum, academic advising, and a variety of community-building activities that includes peer mentoring.

The CHC application window opens after Fall Quarter grades are released and closes the Friday of Week 2 of Winter Quarter (5:00pm PST). This is your first chance to apply to CHC as a current UCI student. Find out about current student admission options and requirements by visiting the CHC website.

Are you considering doing research?

The UCI Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP) provides undergraduates with access to research and creative activities across all disciplines by connecting them with faculty mentors, offering grants, and facilitating workshops and advising sessions. UROP supports students in finding on-campus and off-campus research opportunities and hosts the annual Undergraduate Research Symposium in the spring quarter to showcase student research.

Are you hoping to secure an internship for the fall?

Several units and centers on campus offer year-long internships for undergraduate students. Applications are often made available at the end of winter quarter/beginning of spring quarter, with interview and selection processes occurring throughout the spring quarter. Visit the UCI Division of Career Pathways (DCP), located immediately across Ring Road from the UCI Bookstore and Student Center Starbucks, to learn about internships available. The DCP can also assist with applications and help prepare you for interviews. Campus internships are marketed in Handshake, a popular online platform that connects you with employers both on and off campus.

Are you seeking academic credit for a secured internship?

You can inquire about enrolling in Uni Studies 193 with DCP Internships to determine if it qualifies for course credit. This course is offered for Fall, Winter, Spring, and the 10-week Summer Session.

Thinking about studying abroad?

The UCI Study Abroad Center provides resources and support for students interested in studying abroad, including advising appointments, financial aid and scholarship information, and health and safety tips. It offers a variety of program options, including UC systemwide programs, UCI-specific programs, and independent, international activities.

The UCI Office of Civic Engagement facilitates the UCDC and UCCS internship programs, providing students with opportunities to engage in public service and professional development in Washington DC and Sacramento. These programs include internships, interdisciplinary coursework, and activities designed to enhance students’ roles as active community members and effective change agents.

UCI offers a Civic and Community Engagement Minor – a dynamic, interdisciplinary program that engages students as citizens and community members in an ever-evolving globalized society. The minor empowers students to leverage their academic experience to be agents of change in their communities. Open to all UCI undergraduate students, the Civic and Community Engagement Minor serves as an enrichment to students’ major expertise and offers a greater breadth of experiences for personal growth and the public good.

Are you looking for professional growth opportunities?

The UCI ANTrepreneur Center offers one-on-one startup coaching, access to resources like a podcast room and mini maker space, and hosts innovation challenges. Additionally, it provides networking opportunities, micro-interships, mentoring, and workshops to help UCI students develop and grow their entrepreneurial ideas.

The UCI CalTeach program allows students to graduate with both a Bachelor’s degree in math or science and a California single subject teaching credential within four years. It focuses on recruiting, supporting, and preparing diverse students to become equity-focused secondary teachers, offering resources such as advising, scholarships, and events.

The SAGE (Student Achievement Guided by Experience) Scholars Program at UCI supports high-achieving undergraduates with significant financial need by providing leadership training, career exploration, and access to internships and scholarships. It included year-long paid internships, needs-based scholarships up to $8000 per year, specialized classes, one-on-one career advising, community services projects, and networking opportunities with SAGE alumni.

The California Alliance for Minority Participation (CAMP) program at UCI aims to increase the number of underrepresented students earning degrees in STEM fields. It offers resources like mentoring, tutoring, and research opportunities to support student success and retention.

The UCI Prime Pre-Health Pathways (UC3P) program at UCI is designed to support students pursuing careers in health professions, particularly those from first-generation and marginalized backgrounds. It offers workshops, activities, and resources to build social capital, close opportunity gaps, and provide comprehensive insights into various health professions, helping students achieve their career goals.

The Scholarships Opportunities Program (SOP) at UCI assists competitive undergraduate students in applying for prestigious merit scholarships through advising, workshops, and one-on-one mentoring. It helps students with the application process for national and international scholarships (such as Fulbright), provides resources like the SOP Prep course, and hosts various events to guide students in their scholarship pursuits.

The UCI Student Health Center is available to provide primary care and urgent care, as well as pharmaceutical, dental, and wellness services.

Did you know?

UCI supports students during situations and crises that may be impacting their personal and academic well-being through the Office of Campus Social Work. Through short-term resource referral and long-term case management, the campus social workers are available to the entire student community at no cost.

Financial Services

UCI Financial Services provides support and resources to students in the areas of billing, collections, payments, disbursements, loan administration and tax information. These services are delivered through Campus Billing and Collections, Payment Services, and Accounting and Tax Reporting.
