Your on campus experience begins at SPOP

Congratulations on earning admission to the University of California, Irvine!  Your new student orientation experience will provide you with the chance to meet your peers, learn the best ways of being a student at UCI, and work with your School’s academic advisors to register for your classes.

Whether you are an incoming first year freshman or you are transferring to UCI from a community college or another four-year institution, we want you to be prepared for your first year at UCI, so the Student Parent Orientation Program (SPOP) is required of all first year students – freshman and transfer students.

Parents and family, we understand that you are a critically important part of your student’s college experience as well, so know that SPOP includes sessions specifically for you. Some of the resources that you may want to learn about are available through our RESOURCES link. As your student schedules their SPOP session, be sure they include your information to participate.
