The Anteater Experience

Your experience at UCI begins as soon as you send us your intent to register! The FYE team wants to help you get off to a strong start by introducing you to the many programs and resources that provide depth to your learning and connect you to the UCI academic community.

HIP Opportunities

Summer Start

Begin engaging on campus and taking classes as early as the summer by participating in the Freshman Summer Success Programs (FSSP) or the CAMP Summer Science Academy. These programs are designed to prepare newly admitted students for the academic rigor associated with college combined with an opportunity to connect with faculty and other first year students. Full and partial scholarships are available for these programs!

Living & Learning Communities

Don’t forget when thinking about your Housing options that there are opportunities to engage in UCI’s Living – Learning Communities. These campus housing options are formed to group students based on shared interests, themes, backgrounds, or fields of study, creating smaller, more intimate communities that enhance the residential and educational experience.
